Matthew Yeschke serves as the Director of Operations for Metro Elevator Pittsburgh, bringing more than 26 years of hands-on elevator industry experience to the team. His leadership philosophy is simple and proven: doing right by customers and employees leads to success for everyone involved. Matthew’s approach centers on accountability, problem-solving, and long-term reliability—values that guide both his operational decisions and team leadership.
Matthew began his career with a single elevator manufacturer, where he rose to the level of adjuster and troubleshooter, earning a reputation as a go-to resource for complex electrical and mechanical challenges. Prior to entering the elevator industry, he spent 10 years in manufacturing, advancing to Journeyman Machinist. He also holds a degree in Industrial Automation and Robotics, giving him a deep technical foundation and a systems-based mindset that sets him apart in the field.
Known locally as a trusted problem solver, Matthew excels at digging into the root cause of equipment failures and developing solutions—especially when addressing original design flaws. Outside of work, he’s an outdoors enthusiast who enjoys spending time with family and tackling hands-on projects, from equipment repairs to solar power systems. If it involves learning, building, or improving how something works, Matthew is all in.
