Steven Sperb
President, Metro Elevator Los Angeles
Steven Sperb brings 20 years of elevator industry experience to his role as President of Metro Elevator Los Angeles. A third-generation elevator professional, Steve followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, both elevator mechanics, beginning his career as an apprentice in Wisconsin in 2006. He also holds an MBA from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business.
Steve’s approach to leadership and customer service is rooted in a simple philosophy: go above and beyond what others expect. Early in his career, he was introduced to Raving Fans, a book centered on creating exceptional customer experiences by delivering service that exceeds expectations. The principle of doing just a little more than expected has stayed with him throughout his career, shaping how he supports customers, colleagues, and his team.
Steve is passionate about helping others succeed, encouraging new ideas, and creating an environment where team members feel supported in solving problems and pursuing their ambitions. With four years of hands-on field experience, he also brings a practical understanding of the challenges technicians face and the importance of staying connected to the field.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife, EmiLee, and taking their two dogs, Cali and Cedar, for walks.
