Tom Jirik
Vice President of Operations, Metro Elevator Illinois

Tom Jirik brings more than 30 years of hands-on and leadership experience to his role as Vice President of Operations for Metro Elevator Illinois. His career in the elevator industry began as an apprentice, where he developed a strong foundation in the technical side of the business and a passion for solving complex challenges. Over the years, he has advanced through roles in field operations, installation, service management, and large-team supervision.

Tom holds a State of Illinois Elevator Mechanic License, a City of Chicago Supervising Elevator Mechanic License, and is QEI certified. He also serves on the Elevator Safety Review Board for the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office. His extensive technical training and experience span elevator installation, maintenance, safety compliance, and team leadership.

As a leader, Tom believes in operating with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to reliable, high-quality service. He places a strong emphasis on building lasting relationships with customers and team members while creating safe, efficient work environments. Known for his ability to balance people, performance, and safety, Tom brings deep technical knowledge and a communication-focused leadership style to every challenge.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with family and friends and getting outdoors. He enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and traveling, but his favorite way to spend his free time is with his grandchildren.
