Zach O'Hare
Elevator MOD Mechanic, Metro Elevator New England
With 12 years of experience in the elevator industry, Zach O’Hare brings a deep understanding of modernization, construction, and service work to Metro Elevator New England.
Zach started his career delivering parts and managing a shop before earning his spot in the Union, inspired by family members in the trade. Since then, he has built his expertise through hands-on experience and extensive training, including completing a five-year apprenticeship, obtaining a hoisting and rigging license, and earning both his state elevator license and mechanics license.
Zach believes that great service starts with honesty. He takes a thoughtful approach to every project, carefully assessing each situation before taking action to ensure safety and quality. He values the strong support system at Metro Elevator, which has helped him grow as a mechanic and confidently handle even the most challenging jobs.
What Zach enjoys most about the industry is working alongside some of the sharpest minds in the trade. Elevator construction requires a mix of electrical, mechanical, and critical thinking skills, and he appreciates the opportunity to continuously learn from experienced professionals.
Outside of work, Zach spends his time with his wife and two young boys, often enjoying beach walks or movie nights at home. He also loves working on house projects and unwinding with video games.
