Bill Blackshear

With more than 36 years of experience in the elevator industry, Bill Blackshear brings a rare combination of field expertise and strategic sales leadership to his role as Director of Sales at Metro Elevator DFW. His business philosophy is rooted in a simple but powerful principle: always do the right thing for the customer and lead with a servant mentality.
Bill began his elevator career in 1989 when he co-founded B&B Elevator with his father, spending 12 years as a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). After the sale of that business in 2001, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and transitioned into a series of leadership roles at a global elevator company, including Sales Manager and Interim General Manager.
His career continued to progress as he took on business development responsibilities at the national level, eventually leading a commercial division focused on strategic and global accounts. Throughout his journey, Bill has consistently exceeded sales goals and earned multiple awards recognizing his outstanding performance and commitment to customer success.
What sets Bill apart is his deep, hands-on understanding of elevator systems combined with decades of customer-facing leadership. His ability to view the industry from both the technician’s and executive’s perspective allows him to anticipate needs and deliver value in ways few others can.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys playing golf, exercising, and spending quality time with his family—including his wife, two adult daughters, one son-in-law, and their soon-to-arrive first grandson.
